The gas passes through the entire mass of goods, so the goods are treated where they are in the warehouse, under the foil or in the trailer.
Where it is performed
Fumigation requires a sealed space. It is done in a completely sealed empty warehouse, in a grain goods warehouse, in a bagged pile under a well-sealed PVC foil and in a mobile container trailer.
Gas is also used outside of storage: harmful rodents and moles in parks and fields are counteracted by releasing toxic gas into active holes.
Goods to be treated
- Wheat, corn, rice, barley, rye, oats, buckwheat and millet
- Flour and flour products
- Beans, peas, soy, sunflower, lentils, bob and their products
- Peanuts, almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, coffee, cocoa and cocoa powder
- Dried vegetables, dried fruits, dried mushrooms, spices, medicinal dried herbs, teas and tobacco
- Meat products, citrus fruits, powdered milk and chocolate
- Wool, cotton, linen, hemp, clothing, bedding, footwear and weaving-based products

Fumigation of infected timber
- Does the warehouse have to be empty?
It doesn't have to. It also fumigates an empty sealant and stores a lot of grainy goods. When the object can't be sealed, the goods are treated under a well-sealed PVC film.
- Can goods be fumigated in transport?
Yes, in a mobile container trailer.
- Is the gas used outside the warehouse?
Harmful rodents and moles in parks and fields are counteracted by releasing toxic gas into active holes.
